Description of Activity

The “Co-creation Perspective of Archaeological Conservation Proposals (Italy-UK)” workshop is a collaboration workshop between University of Portsmouth and University of Cagliari staff and students as well as Municipality of Villaperuccio and Municipality of Pimentel to develop archaeological conservation perspectives for Sardinian prenuragic sites called "domus de Janas" that are located within the two municipalities. The workshop aims to produce conceptual conservation plans including some adaptive reuse strategies including accessibility, reuse, interpretations, etc. This will be driven by theoretical understanding of the sites’ key cultural significance and values. The workshop equips participants with the interdisciplinary understanding of heritage conservation in the context of archaeology and provide a great opportunity for exchanging knowledge and skills between the participating institutions.
