Description of Activity

A workshop introducing participants to the power structures in data, in particular highlighting the concept of Feminist Data Visualization and Algorithmic Oppression. Participants were presented with some case studies and then invited to engage with data sets related to statistics of women in leadership positions. Through interaction with online whiteboard software Miro, attendees were invited to develop their own data visualisations responding to the data sets.
