Going on Vocation: Exploring Work-related Travel Writing

Description of Activity

Workshop with Tom Sykes and friends, including the wonderful Anne Paton-Cragg, on the T'Articulation sofa — delving into their travel-writing practices, both here and abroad. Featuring exciting and dramatic stories, as well as testimony on the calm of exotic places, and of finding humour in the mundane.

The inspirational chat session is followed by a series of workshopped prompts, led by Tom who lectures in Creative Writing and Journalism at the university.

Those taking part in the workshop are invited to read their work at a further event the following week.
