    Description of Activity

Delivered a paper to the seminar; ‘Beyond Inclusion – Decolonising the University’ which explained the imperfect relationship between internationalisation and decolonising the curriculum. A central theme of decolonisation within our own academic environment is the need to ‘decentre whiteness’ – promoting inclusivity by giving equal value, time and space to other cultural viewpoints and experience in our subject areas. Spoke about own experiences of integrating these approaches into modules and the core teaching framework for International Development and willingness to experiment and listen to student voices in this process.
