Description of Activity
This presentation outlines a case study of an exhibition and practice-based research project that aimed to investigate the role of Extended Reality (AR, VR, and XR) in the field of illustration, particularly in the context of public and educational settings. The project included a public exhibition and scavenger hunt, organized in collaboration with Portsmouth Creates, which explored the theme of the animal kingdom across three sites in and around Portsmouth, as part of the We Shine Festival in November 2022. Prior to this, I tested a prototype of the artworks at the Research and Innovation Festival held in Portsmouth in November 2022. The exhibited works were primarily sourced from student contributions to my research blog, The Illustrated Menagerie (http://illustratedmenagerie.blogspot.com).Period | 19 Dec 2022 |
