    Description of Activity

    Speakers Bill Campbell- Publisher of Rosarium books and, John Jennings Professor-
    comic artist and a scholar on black comics will speak about how their work engages
    with themes of historical and contemporary racism, politics and afrofuturism, through a variety of comic and narrative genres. Audience will understand how comics seek to challenge the convention around a typically black superhero and how afrofuturism is creating a vision and desirable narrative for creating a future society. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in stimulating debate.
