Leading experts explore the nature of criminality of drugs and firearms on the dark web
The Investigator is hosting a workshop that explores in detail current academic thinking around the extent and nature of criminality around drugs and firearms on the dark web.
It will feature world-leading experts who have all conducted recent in-depth research and studies around drug and firearm supply on the dark web. The workshop will also look at wider work around the socio-political values of dark web communities and how these values have been affected by the technological structure of the dark web such as anonymity, privacy and the use of cryptocurrency.
The day will provide operational officers with all the latest academic thinking in this challenging area of criminal investigation.
Our experts will not only explore their findings and experience but will set this in context and outline its implication for operational policing.
The day will also provide investigators with the opportunity network with our experts and influence future research that could have a positive impact on the investigation process.
