Description of Activity
Overall objectives of the mobility:With this mobility program I aim to further develop my academic career, establishing and reinforcing a series of relationships that I started during my work in South Korea where I met Professor Gianluigi Mondaini for the first time. Prof. Mondaini is my main reference at the School of Architecture, although I will arrange meetings with a number of colleagues in order to learn from the teaching and research activities that are carried out at UNIVPM. Further formal relationships between the University of Portsmouth and UNIVPM may be initiated during my mobility program and research collaboration may be reinforced by a series of activities to be developed during this period.
Added value of the mobility (in the context of the modernization and internationalization strategies of the institutions involved): The School of Architecture at UNIVPM provides advanced teaching and research strategies. Learning form such a rich environment could increase my understanding of the management and strategies that could be further implemented at the School of Architecture at the University of Portsmouth. In particular at the Master level.
Activities to be carried out:
· Attending tutorial sessions for design studios.
· Guest critique for final presentations.
· Shadowing the module coordinator in his teaching activities.
· Attending lectures.
· Attending meetings with a number of colleagues in the department.
Expected outcomes and impact (e.g on the professional development of the staff member and on both institutions):
· A reinforced relationship with key members of the School of Architecture at UNIVPM.
· Establish a common research path, especially with Prof Mondaini
· Learning from their Bachelor Master and PhD programs.
· Initiate a formal relationship between UNIVPM and the University of Portsmouth.
