Picturing others. Challenging stereotypes of Roma, Gypsy and Traveller people through everyday images

Description of Activity

For this talk, I will give an overview of my research and then focus on my latest project, which is to test audience responses to alternative (‘non-stereotypical’) images of Roma, Gypsies and Travellers. The data include collages, audience response forms and recorded interviews. The findings serve as a resource for researchers of minority groups and a range of publics including journalists, policy-makers and charities.
