Description of Activity
This session explores inclusive teaching strategies for neurodivergent and disabled learners within the output-driven framework of Department for Education-funded Skills Bootcamps. Drawing on leadership of the Creative Management Skills Bootcamp, insights from a recent Ofsted inspection, and student case studies, it shares practical approaches to inclusive student experience and pedagogy, putting forward the CAPABLE - Clarity and transparency, Applied learning, Personalised, Accessible, Belonging and identity, Lifelong learning, Equitable assessment.For academics, the session positions Skills Bootcamps as a valuable platform for inclusive curriculum innovation, applied research, and real-world educational impact. Attendees will gain practical strategies to embed inclusive teaching in accelerated learning environments, while recognising the Skills Bootcamp model’s potential to broaden institutional reach and enhance pedagogic effectiveness.
