    ‘Beyond the interview: considering creative methods in social care research’

    Talk entitled ‘Beyond the interview: considering creative methods in social care research’ I hope it will stimulate discussion about two broader issues:

    (1) firstly, about the over-reliance of interviews in social care research, and the implications of this; and secondly,

    (2) the impact that methodological choices – such as using interviews - can have on the production of knowledge, which of course can affect social care practice.
