Description of Activity
Presented 'Implementing Wiseflow To Support Student Assessment And Feedback: A Pilot Study'This presentation provides an overview of the preliminary findings of an
ongoing pilot study at the University of Portsmouth aimed at evaluating the
effectiveness of WiseFlow, an online assessment platform. WiseFlow offers
a variety of features, including automated grading, plagiarism detection,
analytics, sentiment analysis, rubrics, and text and audio feedback, that have
the potential to create a comprehensive end-to-end assessment system for
students, staff, administrative staff, and external examiners.
The pilot study involved academic staff from all faculties, who used the tool to
assess its usability and impact on assessment and feedback. Feedback from
both staff and students was collected to inform and develop recommendations
for future implementation.
The presentation highlights the additional features and advantages offered by
WiseFlow, as well as the benefits and limitations of the platform. It also identifies
potential areas where WiseFlow can streamline academic and administrative
processes and improve the student experience. Initial lessons learned during
the pilot study are discussed and should Wiseflow be adopted, some initial
recommendations for a broader roll-out, based on staff and student feedback
during the pilot phase are presented.
