Presented at Conference: "Developing an inclusive workplace culture- a transdisciplinary approach"

The interdisciplinary team at University of Portsmouth set up an inclusive workshop to help academics in following adjectives:

. Provide historical context to science and higher education to help explain inequalities.
. Discuss how science and racism developed together.
. Discuss how we can use this knowledge to improve equality in our teaching, research and support practices.
. Consider our own and others’ positionality, intersectionality and privilege.
. Provide practical advice on creating an inclusive culture in the workplace and in the classroom.

The workshop success is evaluated with pre and post surveys. The aims of project was to evaluate and contribute towards creating brave inclusive learning spaces.
