Description of Activity
Quarterly meetings of Ruskin-in-Wyre Steering Group (Guild of St George)
Since its inauguration in 2014 I have been a member of the Ruskin-in-Wyre Steering Group, the body responsible for co-ordinating the Guild of St George's environmental, cultural, social, economic, and community outreach activities in the Wyre Forest near Bewdley. I am closely involved in the group because my recent monograph uncovered a new period of the Guild's history in the area, and because my expertise is seen as vital to forwarding the organisation's cultural programme. This includes a number of current artists- and craftspersons-in-residence, but should lead to a culture trail and series of accompanying publications with which I will be closely involved.
