Advancing Methods for Interdisciplinarity in the Social Sciences is a new book series from Palgrave that supports, encourages and facilitates excellence in interdisciplinary research in the social sciences and beyond. As social scientists are increasingly urged to turn to interdisciplinary research to tackle urgent and complex problems, both in their own work and within research teams, new practices are emerging to fit these hybrid approaches. Collaborations with STEM and humanities scholars especially both demand and inspire innovative methodological interventions. Within this emerging space, there is a growing need for resources to help researchers interested in bringing an array of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed research methods to their work, and to show how these might be applied in a variety of socio-cultural and scientific contexts. This exciting new series presents focused volumes that cover a broad spectrum of research methodologies that can be applied across various disciplines and fields.
