Description of Activity
Neurodiversity is increasingly part of educational discourse, yet many ELT teachers are left wondering what it actually means for classroom practice. This session focuses on translating neurodiversity-affirming principles into everyday ELT practice. Following a brief introduction to key neurodiversity concepts and terminology, we explore where common classroom routines can inadvertently create barriers to learning. Drawing on Universal Design for Learning principles, tailored specifically towards neurodivergence, the webinar highlights small, practical shifts in task design, instructions, pacing and interaction that can increase access for neurodivergent learners without lowering challenge or adding to teacher workload.| Period | 13 May 2026 |
