Description of Activity

This presentation explores collaborative opportunities and their impact on the direction of the curated collection of animal-themed illustrations known as The Illustrated Menagerie. Stemming from a deep fascination with both the animal kingdom and illustration, the Illustrated Menagerie project was initially conceived to showcase artwork created by undergraduate students. Over time, it has evolved to include various exhibitions, such as a retrospective spanning five years and an illustrated scroll with a Shakespearean theme.

Recently, the project has ventured into interactive augmented reality experiences, notably a 'scavenger hunt' that has effectively engaged the public. Additionally, collaboration with Revolution Plastics has expanded the boundaries of visualizing intricate phenomena within an extended reality environment. The success of these initiatives can largely be attributed to interdisciplinary cooperation.
