    International Visiting Scholar
    April 2017 Invited to the University of Houston as an international visiting scholar by the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences In April 2017, to present 3 talks:
    • A large lecture attended by students and staff across the University: ‘Interpreting Guillermo del Toro’s Pan’s Labyrinth in 2017’
    • A research seminar to Faculty staff: ‘Contrasting approaches of Central American/Mexican migration films and human rights: with a focus on Sin nombre and La jaula de oro/The Golden Dream’
    • A lecture to students on a Latin American film course: ‘What is World Cinema, and discussing Alejandro González Iñárritu as a transnational/world cinema director’.
