Visiting Angels-North Shropshire -> Dementia Full Training Workshops

Description of Activity

During the two days, I delivered 4 sessions to the team at Visiting Angels North-Shropshire providing in depth training surrounding Dementia and Dementia Care. The sessions included: 1) Introduction to Dementia, 2) Dementia from a Health Psychology Perspective (including nutrition), 3) Dementia and behaviours that challenge and 4) Dementia from a whole-team perspective.

These sessions were interactive for all staff, allowing for them to reflect on any positive and potentially challenging experiences, including how they acted and solved any challenging events. The feedback from all staff was exceptionally positive. All training slides were provided to the manager following the sessions to allow for future in-house training which was evidence based and practical for any new and incoming carers to this company.
