Wearable sensing and analytics for upper limb motor function rehabilitation

Activity: Talk or presentation typesInvited talk

Description of Activity

Abstract: In upper limb motor function rehabilitation and restoration, active sensing and analytics remain the critical issue to accommodate the need of intuitiveness, light user burden and long-term reliability from users' perspective.
In this talk, I will give some examples of our recent projects in which motor functions are sensed by the modalities of surface electromyography (sEMG) and wearable ultrasound (A-mode ultrasound), and realised through corresponding motion recognition and user training for rehabilitation and restoration, with an emphasis on both current challenges and future direction.
