Description of Activity

José Teunissen leads the debate on the theme ‘#imagination’ and enters into dialogue with the researchers and academics behind the research project Transfashional. This project was initiated in 2016 with the intention to highlight practices which seek to expand disciplinary boundaries, merging fashion with visual and performing arts, design, architecture and other creative domains. Combining prefix ‘trans’ with adjective ‘fashional’, this newly coined term aims to launch a challenge to move beyond fashion as we know it. How does fashion, as an industry and as a system, redefine and renew itself? Conversation with Lara Torres, Naomi Filmer, Dobrila Denegri moderated by José Teunissen.
