Finland doubts the accidental destruction of the Balticconnector underwater gas pipeline or that it could have happened without the knowledge of the authorities in Beijing, Finnish Minister of European Affairs and State Assets Anders Adlercreutz said. In early October, a failure of the Balticconnector gas pipeline and telecommunications cables connecting Estonia, Finland, and Sweden was discovered at the bottom of the Gulf of Finland.
