    Description

During this 1 hour podcast for AWOL Zebra (EDS podcast based on the East Coast of the United States), I was asked to speak about my role as Trainee Health Psychologist, my current research examining nutritional influences for individuals living with EDS and why nutrition for individuals living with EDS is such an important topic. This podcast is also during EDS Awareness Month, so during this podcast we spoke about Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome awareness in the UK, the impact research and media can have in raising awareness and starting conversations for Healthcare Professionals and how individuals can access support. I also raised awareness for Health Psychology and how Health Psychologists can have a positive impact for individuals living with EDS, linking to my current health psychology intervention work on helping individuals living with EDS manage stress levels and prevent fatigue/burnout.
