University of Portsmouth and Twycross Zoo team up to produce holographic endangered animal display

Conservation charity Twycross Zoo has partnered up with the universities of Portsmouth and Nottingham, to launch a hologram project detailing endangered species, a UK first.

Holograms of critically endangered Javan rhinos and endangered African elephants will be installed in an exhibition at the zoo.

The holograms were developed using technology from the University of Portsmouth and the artistic and technical expertise of staff and students from the University of Portsmouth's Masters in Creative Technologies programmes.
