Description
This dataset supports the manuscript titled “Mapping Arsenic Risks in the Ayeyarwady Delta Reveals Persistent Public Health Challenges”, submitted to GeoHealth. It contains field and laboratory data collected from 81 groundwater wells sampled across the Ayeyarwady Delta, Myanmar. Each record includes location coordinates, well depth, water chemistry parameters (major cations, iron, manganese, arsenic, pH, EC, etc.), stable isotopes (δ¹⁸O and δ²H), and observational data related to well structure and use (e.g., pump type, staining).
The purpose of the dataset is to support spatial analysis and statistical modelling of arsenic contamination risk and its relationship to recharge zones, geomorphology, and water chemistry.
Data are provided in tabular format (.xlsx), with units clearly indicated. Variables are described in the accompanying README file. These data may be reused to support further groundwater quality assessments, hydrogeological modelling, or public health risk mapping in similar deltaic environments.
The data are embargoed until 31/10/25.
