Description

This repository contains models and modelled data from the publication "Stellar population modelling of neutron stars and black holes: spatially-resolved graveyards in MaNGA/SDSS-IV galaxies", MNRAS, 2025, These are: new stellar population models of remnant numbers and masses for evolving stellar populations as a function of metallicity and age, using a new Initial Mass - Final Mass relation from Limongi et al. 2018. The tables here refer to a Kroupa initial mass function. Models for other specific IMFs can be obtained upon request. the modelled data for spatially-resolved graveyards in MANGA galaxies. The new remnant models have been applied to spatially-resolved star formation histories of MANGA galaxies from Neumann et al. 2022 to obtain the distributions of stellar remnants in galaxies.
