Description

The Institute of Marine Sciences owns a fully marine, floating research platform permanently moored in Langstone Harbour, which is used for exposure trials and a range of in situ research and monitoring.Panels, structures or equipment can be suspended in the water column from the surface to the sea bed. This unique facility is available for short and long-term marine monitoring and immersion trials including: marine fouling & anti-fouling trials, immersion, exposure and abrasion trials, attachment of remote sensing or monitoring equipment and tidal turbine technology trials
