Organisation profile

The Centre for Integrated Health and Wellbeing (CiH-Well) undertakes applied research, focusing on improving health outcomes, reducing disparities, and enhancing well-being across the lifespan. Supporting UoP's future strategy, CiH-Well fosters interdisciplinary collaboration across the university to create impactful, evidence-based solutions that drive positive change locally, nationally, and globally.

To meet this mission, core aims of the centre include:

  • Bringing together academics with similar health-related research interests and working across multiple schools, faculties and external partners to increase collaboration, knowledge exchange and to secure sustainable funding streams.

  • Promoting the development of research proposals based on the needs of local communities, by bringing together multidisciplinary and innovative academics across the University and externally.

  • Fostering a culture and environment conducive to health-related research, which builds upon existing research capacity and attracts highly motivated individuals to study, conduct research, collaborate and work at the University.

  • Improving the standards of health and care provided to local communities from health inequality backgrounds through collaborative research and innovation projects, as per the Department for Levelling up, Housing and Communities.
