I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Organizations, Systems and People (OSP), Faculty of Business and Law (BaL). I am currently the module coordinator for three modules including Digital Technology and Innovation (PG), Digital Technology in Business (PG-Apprentice) and Electronic and Mobile Commerce (UG). 

With a brief work experience in Pakistan and almost a decade in Malaysia, I have been associated with the academic sector since 2008. Other than academia, I have also worked in Praesidium Consultants, Pizza Hut and Thomson Reuters. 

I attained my Bachelor's in Business Administration with a major in Information Technology (distinction) from Comsats University, Islamabad, Pakistan in 2007. After briefly working at Praesidium Consultants, Pizza Hut, and Comsats University, in 2008, I got a scholarship for MSc and later on, in 2010, for PhD in Information Technology (IT) at Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP), Malaysia. Besides studying, I also worked as a tutor/graduate assistant at UTP from 2008 until 2013. In 2013, I joined Thomson Reuters as a research analyst. In 2014, I got back to academia by joining Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Kampar, Malaysia as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology.

My academic journey, whether related to teaching or research, has been at the confluence of Information Technology (IT) and humans. I have conducted research in the domains of knowledge management (particularly knowledge sharing), behavioural software engineering as well as cyberbullying. As I progress in my academic career, I am continuously exploring new and different avenues of research in the larger interdisciplinary domain comprising of humans, technology and organizations. 

Since 2008, I have had the opportunity to teach several modules, at multiple institutions in different countries. At Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia, I taught in the department of Information Systems, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology. I was mainly involved in coordinating the modules such as digital commerce, digital and technology entrepreneurship, business and management information systems as well as business analytics. I was also the certified Alibaba Teacher and a mentor at the Unovate Incubator at UTAR. 

In my current role at University of Portsmouth, I am coordinating three modules including Digital Technology and Innovation (PG), Digital Technology in Business (PG-Apprentice) and Electronic and Mobile Commerce (UG).
