Biography

Ann is a Senior Lecturer in Education Studies and is the Course Leader for the MA Education students and the Professional Doctorate in Education.  Ann's research interests include the relationship between education and violence and inequality, with a specific focus on citizenship education and national identity in international contexts.  She is specifically interested in Pakistan and Indonesia.  Prior to her work in academia she worked for 15 years in international development education in South Africa, Liberia, Macedonia, Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan on projects related to in-service teacher training, early grade reading, and vocational education.
