Personal profile

Biography

I am an Academic Lead /  Principal Lecturer and am also Course Leader for BSc (Hons) Computer Games Production in the School of Creative Technologies.  I have worked in HE for 22 years. For 10 years, I ran a successful eLearning and Education Consultancy with clients in both the education and commercial sectors. Following this, I was a Course Co-tutor / Associate Lecturer on the MSc in E-Learning at the University of Edinburgh. I came to the University of Portsmouth in 2011 as an Academic Skills Tutor in the Faculty of CCi, and more recently as a Senior Lecturer in Higher Education in Academic Development (DCQE).

Research Interests

My areas of research interest are based in digital games and education, with a particular focus on exploring digital and non-digital games as a psychosocial moratorium for identity tourism from different diversity groups (such as ASD), and the implications for education.
