Summary

I am Anton Hettiarachchige Don, a Lecturer in the School of Energy & Electronic Engineering at University of Portsmouth in UK.

I am a Ph.D. graduate of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at Wichita State University, Kansas, USA.

My primary avenue of research is on Advanced Transmission Level Monitoring of the Electric Power Grid with an emphasis on SynchroPhasor Measurement Unit Data.

In addition, my research also includes other areas within the cyber-physical power grid including integration of renewable sources, system reliability, integration of electric vehicles, power system economics, and aspects of cyber-security. 

I previously served as a Senior Lecturer (Higher Grade) at the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT), Malabe, Sri Lanka, and as Graduate Instructor at Wichita State University, Kansas, USA.

My professional memberships include the IET, IEEE and the IEEE – Eta Kappa Nu Engineering Honor Society.
