Dr Bing Han is a Lecturer in Economic Crime at the University of Portsmouth, within the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Her research focuses on a wide range of economic crime areas, including fraud, money laundering, underground banking networks, romance scams, and fraud targeting individual victims, as well as cybercrime. Dr Bing Han’s work is dedicated to understanding the mechanisms of these crimes and their impact on victims and society.
In addition to her research, she teaches courses on criminological theory and criminal justice, with a particular emphasis on the complexities of economic crime. Her teaching integrates real world case studies and the latest research findings, aiming to equip students with a deep understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of combating economic crime.
