I practised as a barrister in independent practice from 1997 to 2003. In 2003 I took up a post as Assistant Land Registrar at HM Land Registry. While working as an Assistant Land Registrar, I developed an interest in legal training and legal education, writing and delivering numerous internal and external training events. Having previously taught as an Associate Lecturer at the Open University, I decided to take up teaching full time.
