Biography

I am a Human Resources professional with experience in public and private sector organisations. I have worked in diverse environments and taught groups of learners in the workplace, in Further and in Higher Education, from level 2 to Masters.  Before starting an academic career, I served as a commissioned officer in the Royal Navy and in manufacturing companies (fabrication and FMCG), providing HR Business Partner support and HRM/HRD generalist service

Research Interests

My research interests include student development through voluntary work and the transfer of learning in the workplace.
