Personal profile
Summary
I am a teaching fellow on the Bachelor of Nursing (Adult) programme here at the University of Portsmouth. I coordinate the Foundation of Evidence Based Research module which prioritises the need for all students to understand the importance of using theory to practice. I am also the year 1 lead for both the adult and mental health student nurses.
My nursing career started in 2001 within the NHS, prodominately within the emergency setting. I became a senior sister with an interest in education. Before moving to begin my university journey I worked as a practice educator within the emergency department which included designing and implementing all required training for all members of the interedisciplinary team.
My other roles and interests include safeguarding, the vulnerable patient in the emergency setting and frailty.
