Mr
After a career in the sports leisure industry, in 1997, I embarked on the Sports Science Degree at Portsmouth. Having been a keen sportsman all my life this course seemed to fulfil my ambition of gaining a degree, experiencing University life, improving my job prospects and learning in a subject area close to my heart. I graduated in 2000 and was offered a position in the Sports Science Department. For the last 18 years I have been working alongside highly motivated and dedicated colleagues, where I specialise in coaching and exercise physiology.
I have provided assistance to groups such as: GB Underwater hockey team, St Vincent-Wight cycle team and GB junior surf team. I am currently starting a project with Surflifesvaing GB and have an ongoing projects related to swimming, specifically looking at inspiratory muscle fatigue and its possible affects on stroke mechanics.
