Biography

I run the The Dysglycaemia, Oxidative stress and the Vascular Endothelium (DOVE) Project which is a clinical collaboration between myself and the Academic Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology, Queen Alexandra Hospital (Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust), that aims to examine the roles and interactions of both traditional and non-traditional metabolic and cardiovascular risk factors in diabetes mellitus.

Research Interests

Oxidative stress, endothelial dysfunction, cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, cystic fibrosis, copper aminoglycosides, antioxidants, organ preservation; Supervisor for postgraduate students at PhD and MD level; Clinical collaboration with Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust in diabetes (The Portsmouth Dysglycaemia, Oxidative Stress and the Vascular Endothelium (DOVE) Project).
