Mr
I am a Teaching Fellow in teh Accounting and Financial Management subject area. I have taught part time at the university since 2010.
My key areas of expertise are accounting, finance and general business. I have taught a range of subjects and my teaching is currently focused on international financial management and business accounting.
I also work in the area of investments and financial advice, helping my clients identify their financial planning solutions they need to reach their objectives. I am a member of the Personal Finance Society and the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
I have lived and worked in several countries, gaining different perspectives on life and business that inform and benefit my teaching.
I gained my first degree in economics, psychology and human movements studies at Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa finishing with a BA(HMS). I then completed an MBA from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.
I have been based in the UK since 2005, before which I lived and worked in Canada and South Africa.
Parallel to my teaching career at the university I am a client-facing Chartered Financial Planner at Tavistock Private Client Ltd., where I have been part of the team since 2017. The firm provides financial advice and manages investment portfolios. I have severeal roles in the area of financial planning, private equity and management consulting in the course of my career.
I teach on the International Financial Management, Business Accounting, and Financial Investment Project modules.
