Dr
Dion has been a Teaching Fellow in Criminology and Criminal Justice since November 2021. His main research interests focus on Criminal Psychology, with his PhD exploring the differences between commuter and marauder profiles within the application of geographic profiling.
In his teaching role, Dion is involved at teaching at all levels throughout the University, from lecturing and seminar leading at undergraduate level, to supervising post-graduates. He is currently coordinator for Forensic Psychology and Mental Health.
Prior to joining the department, Dion was partner in CrimePsych. Outside teaching, Dion is a volunteer football coach, focusing on high performance behaviour.
Dion continues research within the space of Offender Profiling, with special interest in the application of Geoprofiling. My research branches out into Behavioural (Psychological) Profiling, Linguistic Profiling, Victim Profiling, Crime Scene (& linkage) Profiling, and Community Profiling.
In addition, Dion has special research interests in Human Trafficking, and Forensic Psychology & Mental Health.
