Personal profile

Biography

I am currently a Teaching Fellow in the School of Civil Engineering and Surveying at the University of Portsmouth. My PhD research was on 'Enhancing the performance of cementitious composite through hooked end steel fibres and cement replacement materials' after completing a MSc in Civil Engineering with Geotechnical Engineering also from the University of Portsmouth. I previously completed a BSc in Mining Engineering at the University of Zanjan, Iran.

Research Interests

My current main research interest is experimental and numerical studies on the behaviour of cementitious composite and steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC). This includes investigation into the effect of different cement replacement materials and admixtures on the behaviour of SFRC in civil engineering applications.

  • Fibre reinforced concrete
  • Concrete optimisation
  • Recycled and replacement material in concrete
  • Finite element analysis on concrete applications
