Dr. Fahad Ahmad earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the National College of Business Administration and Economics in Lahore, Pakistan, in 2017. His professional journey began in 2008 in the healthcare industry, where he progressed from an engineering role to a managerial position at the Services Institute of Medical Sciences. Subsequently, Dr. Ahmad transitioned to academia as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Sciences at Kinnaird College for Women, Pakistan. He further expanded his academic contributions as a Lecturer in the Department of Basic Sciences within the Deanship of Common First Year at Jouf University, Saudi Arabia, before advancing to a research position. As of January 2024, Dr. Ahmad has been appointed as a Lecturer at the University of Portsmouth, UK, within the School of Computing. His responsibilities encompass teaching, curriculum development, and research, with a specific focus on quantum computing. Dr. Ahmad’s research interests are broad and include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Quantum Computing, Cybersecurity, and applications in Healthcare.
I have been a reviewer for numerous esteemed journals (IEEE, Elsevier, Springer, Nature, IET, MDPI, Hindawi, TechScience, Frontiers, Taylor & Francis, AGU, and Wiley) and have also taken roles as a Guest Editor and Editorial Board Member for CMC, Academic Editor PLOS ONE. Additionally, I have supervised and am keen to supervise postgraduate students at both the Master's and Doctoral levels.
