My first degree is in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering. After graduation I was employed as a Design Engineer in a company producing small tractors for two years. After that I started my PhD in Manufacturing Engineering at Technical University of Rousse, Bulgaria, where I was involved in teaching as well. After I finished my PhD I became a lecturer at the same University. In 1998, I was offered a position as a Senior Researcher and started working for the Manufacturing Engineering Centre (MEC) at Cardiff University, UK, where I was mostly involved in cemmercial project . In 2003, I accepted a position as a Senior Lecturer at University of Portsmouth. My third degree MA in Teaching & Learning in Higher Education (2010) is from University of Portsmouth.
My research interests are in Engineering Design, Reverse Engineering, Engineering Metrology, Quality Control, CACAM, and Advanced Manufacturing Processes.
