Biography

My main research interests surround disablist hate crime and in particular the police responses to this issue. My PhD research examined the policing of learning disablist hate crime, exploring the perceptions and experiences of service users and service providers. I am an IAG member for Hampshire Constabulary, the CPS Wessex Hate Crime Scrutiny Panel and have also represented the UK government at hate crime events overseas.

In addition, I also have an interest in policing, particularly surrounding police culture, police training and early leavers/resignations.
