PhD projects

I am interested in supervising doctoral research that explores the relationship between human biomechanics, women's health and occupational performance. Potential areas of study include women's experiences and performance in physically demanding occupations, female-specific considerations in personal protective equipment (PPE), body armour and load carriage systems, occupational ergonomics and workplace design, and the optimisation of human performance, comfort and wellbeing in defence, emergency services and industrial environments.

I also welcome projects focused on breast health and biomechanics in occupational populations, equipment fit and usability for women, and evidence-based approaches to improving occupational health, safety, inclusion and workforce retention. Interdisciplinary projects developed in collaboration with industry, healthcare, defence and other external partners are particularly encouraged.
