Biography

I joined the University of Portsmouth in 1993. I am Associate Dean (Academic) for the Faculty of Technology and former Associate Dean (Research) for the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries.

Research Interests

My research interests are in critical interventions in art history; philosophy and aesthetics of modernity; aesthetics and politics in British art history in the late seventies and eighties; the politics of memory as deconstructive critique; ethics, justice and injustice in aesthetic discourse.

Formerly, as Associate Dean of Research for the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries, I oversaw all aspects of research and its development in the Faculty of Creative and Cultural Industries (CCI).
