Biography

Konstantinos is a Senior Lecturer and the Director of the PhD program in the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance at the University of Portsmouth.

Konstantinos was awarded his PhD from the University of Sussex. Additionally, he holds the degrees of Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Miami and MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics.

His research has been published in highly impactful academic journals such as Journal of Corporate Finance, British Journal of Management, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, and Journal of Business Research, among others. Konstantinos’ research has received media coverage and is featured on Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance. His work on the business–politics interface has been spotlighted by the OpenSecrets organization for its policy relevance.

As a principal investigator, Konstantinos has attracted funding from the British Academy and the Leverhulme Trust.

Prior to entering academia, Konstantinos was employed as an analyst in the financial sector having evaluated a pipeline of energy and real-estate investments across Europe.

Initial public offerings, political connections, intangible assets valuation, financial reporting and choices of disclosure.
