Personal profile

I joined Portsmouth Business School as a Senior Lecturer in Organisation Studies and Human Resource Management in November 2018. Prior to my appointment at Portsmouth, I was a Lecturer in Organisation and Sustainability and also the programme coordinator of the BA (Hons) Business Studies at Bournemouth University. I was awarded my PhD in Management Studies and MSc in Economics from the University of Essex, UK. I also hold a MSc in Industrial Economics as well as a BSc from Beijing Jiaotong University, China.

The multidisciplinary background informs my inter-disciplinary research interests, including international business and management and their links to business ethics, corporate social responsibility and sustainability. I have published in, and I am a reviewer for, leading international academic journals, such as Organization Studies (ABS4), British Journal of Management (ABS4), and Work, Employment and Society (ABS4), and my research work received funds from Daiwa Anglo-Japanese Foundation and Asia-Pacific Network Foundation. My research paper about China’s passive revolution published in Organization Studies was selected as the ‘OS Editor Picks’ in 2018.
