I joined the University of Portsmouth in 2009, having begun working in higher education in 2007.
I spent the earlier part of my career in banking and accounting for 12 years. I worked for Barclays in corporate and retail banking in the UK and Kenya for 10 years before pursuing my management accounting qualification.
I was admissions tutor for undergraduate accounting and finance pathways at Portsmouth from 2009 until 2013. I have introduced employability modules to further strengthen the vocational nature of the programme. We held a successful Kaplan Learning and Teaching Conference in 2019 involving students, academic and IT staff, and speakers from the accounting sector.
