Biography

I am currently a Senior Lecturer of Computer Science at the University of Portsmouth. I previously held lecturer / senior research fellow appointments at the University of St Andrews, Cardiff and Aberdeen. 

I am a member of the IET, WES and HEA. I have worked on a number of UK and European funded research projects.  My research interests are in the areas of techniques for data mining, machine learning, intelligent information recommendation, information retrieval, big data, context-aware computing as well as their applications in Internet, business, social networks, home/residential care and health-informatics.
